Mandy Gruner, MS, RD, CSSD is a Sport Dietitian, Nutrition Therapist, consultant, and speaker specializing in sport nutrition, a non-diet approach to optimal health and wellness, eating disorders, and disordered eating. Mandy joined forces with other experts in the Grand Rapids area to form an action network called SCOPE - Specialists Championing Optimal Performance & Education. To learn more, click here.
Mandy will be a Special Lecturer for the Grand Rapids Ballet Company during their Summer Intensive Dance School.
JUNE 2009
Mandy will be part of a Triathlon Training A to Z Clinic at Gazelle Sports in Grand Rapids on June 17th starting @ 7pm.
APRIL 2009
Mandy will be part of a Team in Training Clinic at Gazelle Sports in Grand Rapids on April 16th from 6-8pm!
MARCH 2009:
Mandy joined the Kalamazoo Eating Disorders Professional Coalition, as part of her role at Western Michigan University.
Mandy contributed the Sport Nutrition Chapter to the Orthopaedic Knowledge Update: Sports Medicine 4, a resource developed by the American Orthopaedic Society for SportsMedicine and published by American Academy of Orthpaedic Surgeions (AAOS) - this new volume brings the most important advancements, research, and expert opinion from the past five years.
Mandy joined the team at Western Michigan University's Student Health Center. She will work part-time as one of the nutrition experts in the Department of Health Promotion & Education.
FEBRUARY 2009:
Mandy presented at the annaul MIAA Student-Athletic Training Workshop at Calvin College.
Mandy participated in a panel discussion at Grand Valley State University for Eating Disorder Awareness Week regarding women in the media and eating disorders.
